The Mathematics of Bioterror
Abstract
Hypothetical bioterror events, such as smallpox attack,
bring up interesting---albeit somewhat morbid---scientific issues.
The lecturer will describe various nonlinear effects in quantitative
epidemic scenarios; these effects being not merely of theoretical interest,
but also of great value for such as emergency care/vaccination
strategies.
