Summary:

CECM researchers are collaborating with scientists in the Medical Imaging Group at Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre to develop practical methods of deriving quantitatively correct Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) in the clinical environment. SPECT is widely used in clinical practice as a means for obtaining diagnostic data through sectional imaging of the distribution of radiopharmaceuticals in the body.
