This is a (somewhat modified) icon of what I look like:

These cartoonized images were made on a Macintosh using Aldus Freehand. I first took a picture of myself with the SGI IndiCam in the CECM, saved it as a TIFF file, and imported it to Freehand on the Mac. Using Freehand, I modified it (slightly *8-)), pasted in an interesting PICT background, and then converted the file to GIF format. My beard isn't that orange, my eyes aren't that blue, and my T-shirt isn't that fluorescent...
