"Protocols and tools for mathematics on the web"

Abstract

A report will be given on the protocols and tools for communicating mathematics on the web. Special emphasis will be given to the W3C Recommendation MathML 2, a mathematical markup language which is compliant with XML standards, and to its deployment. The related recent additions for mathematics in Unicode 3.2, and early experience with the development of tools making use of the new protocols will be discussed.
