• The design and implementation of efficient algorithms for linear and nonlinear ODE and PDE systems.
• Grobner bases and primary decomposition techniques for the solution of polynomially nonlinear systems of equations.
• The relationship between algebraic and geometric approaches to these problems.
• Efficient implementation of general algorithms, such as multivariate GCD's, resultants, fast exact linear solvers, etc.
